The Fall session was a wonderful one with our technical training school well attended in the post-season in November and December months under the tutelage and direction of our Licensed Travel coaches. The NRU 8v8 Senior Adult League promotes adult soccer in the New River Valley. The league is open to men over 35 and to women over 18. We play 8v8 (30-minute halves) on small fields in Blacksburg (mainly on the VT Turf Field). Games will be played primarily on Friday or Sunday afternoon/evenings unless there is a conflict with VT Rec Field reservations. The schedule will be released shortly for planning purposes with a proposed start date on 3/17/24. Teams will play 6-8 regular season games and 2 post season games. The season playoffs have proposed dates in the last weekends of April and early May dependent on inclement weather delays for games)
Welcome to the 2024 Spring 11v11 Adult League with New River United! The NRU Adult League promotes adult soccer in the New River Valley. We are open to all adults 18 years old and up. We play 11v11 (45-minute halves) on full-size fields in Blacksburg (mainly on the VT Turf Field). Games will be played on Friday evenings and are scheduled to start in early March. Teams will play around 8 games with two playoff games (schedule permitting with weather). The season playoffs and finals will be scheduled for late April through to early May dependent on schedule and weather delays for these games.
NRU's Academy Program is designed for U8, U9, and U10 (2014-2016 born players) Players looking to take their skills to the next level. This program is designed to bridge the gap between our Recreational and Travel programs by equipping players with advanced technical skills and personal tactics to help them grow as an individual.

Additionally, we look forward once again to running our Technical Training School in the post-season November and December months under the tutelage and direction of our Licensed Travel coaches. Following the success of the last two years' edition of this program and with the growing desire for more technical training programming, NRU is offering its Winter Technical Training School. Ages 4-15 The program cost is $85 and runs primarily on Saturday's from 11/11/23 until the weekend of 12/16/23 from 10am-11am. There will be one Sunday session (11/19) due to conflicts with VT football, or in the event of unfavorable weather. Sessions are led and delivered by NRU and VU FC's licensed coaches on the scenic fields of the Virginia Tech Recreation Turf/Marching Virginian Turf Field.

Welcome to the 2023 Adult Summer League with New River United! The NRU Summer Adult League promotes adult soccer in the New River Valley. We are open to all adults 18 years old and up with a focus on the over 35 community. Each team will be allowed a maximum of 3 players under 35 per roster. Games will begin the week of June 18 and will be played with a mix of Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
