Recreational Coaching Resources

There are many different styles of coaching but there are 3 main components to any style that makes a successful recreational coach:
Be Engergized
Be Organized
Be Ready to have FUN.

Below you will find links to practice plans, USSF methodology, practice games and other useful tools to get you through the season.  Please don't hesitate to ask the office if you would like even more direction.  

US Soccer Coaching Curriculum
This is a good place to start to understand what US Soccer is asking of our coaches in order to improve player development.

This is a great place to find games to play in practice for all different age group levels

More Lesson Plans for each age group
This is a great site put together by a state association with lessons from U6-U12 with both video and practice plans ready to print.

Parent Letter
This is a good sample of a letter to send out to parents introducing yourself and setting up expectations.

NRU Player and Parent Code of Conduct
By playing with NRU, both players and parents are agreeing to hold themselves to a higher standard.  Feel free to remind them of this code of conduct.
